Welcome
I would like to welcome you to EDT 8110, an online, knowledge based workshop. This course of instruction will cover various approaches to gaining and retaining new material. After completing the following modules, you will realize that the most important aspect of knowledge retention is not the time spent studying the material, it is the method of approach one utilizes. I appreciate your time and hope you enjoy the following tutorials.
Course Overview
Becoming a successful student does not happen by chance. Students who utilize a defined and disciplined strategy typically fair far better than those who procrastinate and hope to cram the material in. This workshop provides various methods of study, presents practical examples for implementation, and details empirical data highlighting its benefits. Oh, and one more thing...it does not take anymore time than you are currently dedicating to the material.
Requirements for Completion
On the left hand side of the page, you will notice the header labeled, "EDT 8110." If you mouse over the title, you will see four weeks of instruction and a video. Each week, students will read the material and take the quiz located at the bottom of the page. You may take the quiz as many times as you like; however, you should receive at least 85% before moving on. The final lesson is a short, nine minute video that captures the big ideas of the workshop and provides various tips on implementing this new strategy.
